What are your thoughts on humectants? From what I understand, I need to use a humectant like aloe to actually pull moisture into my skin, then apply a moisturizer on top of that to seal in the moisture. Is this accurate in your experience?
Plenty of moisturizers contain humectants (common ones include hyaluronic acid, glycerin, panthenol, and aloe). But yes, you can always add a layer of a hydrating serum underneath your moisturizer if you need the extra hydration!
