Disclaimer: I am not a doctor, just a cartoon deer on the internet with a background in chemistry and a hyperfixation on skin. This is not medical advice. Gator is a real dentist though!

Start the clock!

Here’s every single piece of skin, hair, and teeth advice that @BowTiedGatorDDS and I could come up with in 15 minutes.

Rapid fire:

1. Listerine sucks, throw it away before it ruins your mouth

TheraBreath is Gator’s preference.

2. Wash your body *after* you rinse out the conditioner, especially if you have acne

3. Eye cream is (mostly) a scam

4. If you’re pregnant, don’t use fluoride toothpaste

You can get our fluoride-free toothpaste here instead!

5. If eating carrots makes your skin glow, your diet is probably deficient in vitamin A

6. Stop clenching your teeth while you work

7. If you're not moisturizing at least once a day, you're leaving anti-aging gains on the table

8. Gums do not get rid of toxins in your body

9. No skincare will fix your acne if you can't get your diet in check (weak sauce, do better)

Click here to read Part 1 of my acne series.

10. Deep conditioner is curly hair's best friend

11. Actually, leave-in conditioner is curly hair's best friend

12. You can’t brush or oil pull your way out of a bad diet

13. Many lash growth serums are a scam or cause unwanted hair growth - be careful

14. Straight teeth are more hygienic than crooked teethf

15. Yes, you can put stuff on your skin that you wouldn't eat (esoteric Twitter in shambles rn)

16. Azelaic acid is the most underrated OTC treatment for acne and rosacea

I like this one from Naturium.

17. You don't need a standalone 10% niacinamide serum

If you want niacinamide in your routine, just get this moisturizer. It has 4% niacinamide anyways.

18. Alcohol makes you ugly, point blank

19. Expandable floss at least 3x a week

Gator likes this expandable floss.

20. Replacing your body wash with 10% benzoyl peroxide a few times per week will help with your body acne

Click here for my full back acne protocol.

21. Finasteride (probably) isn't worth it

22. Don’t be cheap, get your teeth cleaned twice per year

23. If you're running TRT and getting acne, you should be injecting more frequently than just once per week

Click here for my full piece on fixing acne while on TRT.

24. Face scrubs with beads or other small bits in them are doing you more harm than good

25. If you wake up with a dry mouth, you’re probably a mouth breather (gross)

26. Your skin is a lie detector. Yes, I can tell when you haven't been eating properly

27. Not washing your makeup off before bed is killing your skin

28. Coconut oil does not belong on your face

Click here for my thoughts on coconut oil!

29. Toothpaste also does not belong on your face (keep it away from your pimples damn it!)

30. Best oils for hair growth are rosemary, amla, and peppermint

31. But 5% minoxidil stacked with tretinoin gives you the best chance at hair regrowth

32. If you have a true cavity, don’t try to reverse it. You will fail.

33. Retinoids and AHAs will fix stretch marks better than tallow or lard

34. Xylitol gum is good for saliva, and saliva is good for teeth

35. Cellulite is a normal part of being a woman

Nothing you can do to fix it *except* resolve micronutrient deficiencies, maintain a healthy body fat percentage, and/or laser therapy (but I wouldn't)

36. Tallow can be a decent moisturizer but it's not going to cure every skin problem you have

Click here for my thoughts on tallow.

37. Inflammation in your gut will eventually show up in your skin

Time’s up!

Hope y’all enjoyed this.

Cheers,

@BowTiedFawn
